INTRODUCTION TO OUR CONCEPT
In these times of economic uncertainty, with high levels of unemployment,
rising poverty and a squeeze on credit, we believe it is time for businesses
everywhere to start thinking of other and extra ways of giving something back
to the general public who support their businesses year in year out.
Prize Draw Greetings is the new greeting card that comes with a third page
which is a detachable reply postcard, the reply postcard is an entry form
that can be used by the sender and the receiver of the greetings card to enter
a free prize draw. The free prize draws will be held monthly and each reply
postcard entry received back to us will be entered into one free prize draw,
giving the sender and receiver a chance to win a cash prize.
The UK greeting card industry is worth over 1.3 Billion Pounds annually according
to Mintel, worth more than tea and coffee combined, research puts the average
number of greeting cards sent at 55 per person per year in the United Kingdom.
Now, we have the idea that it is possible to return a portion of the revenue
generated within the greeting card industry back to the general public by
holding a monthly free prize draw, which people will be able to enter simply
by sending us their name and address on a reply postcard entry.
As you might imagine we have approached some of the larger greeting card companies
to see if they would be interested in making some of their card ranges in
the Prize Draw Greetings format, unfortunately they were not, presumably because
this would entail giving over part of the revenue generated within the industry
back to the people who support their businesses, and you can see why this
is a no brainer, as their businesses are doing very nicely as they are.
So, we are left with no option but to produce the Prize Draw Greetings cards
ourselves, with your support for our concept we hope to steadily increase
the amount of prizes given away each month, and we believe there is absolutely
no limit on the amount of good this venture can produce for both the greeting
card industry and the greeting card hungry British public, if the public support
this venture's ethos and concept.
Greeting cards have always been about goodwill to each other, we know that
we can extend this goodwill to include the greeting card industry sharing
out some of the proceeds which are generated within this industry to the people
who buy and receive their products, the British public, who have made the
United Kingdom greeting card industry the most successful greeting card industry
in the world, and this is a wonderful indication of the goodwill we feel for
each other.
When we started to try and figure out exactly how much goodwill and money
is generated within the greeting card industry, we started by searching through
the various Rich Lists produced by daily newspapers and magazines and this
is what we found.
Andrew Brownsword Worth: £220m Source of wealth: Greetings cards and
hotels.
Don Lewin and Family Worth: £139m Source of wealth: Greetings cards.
Ron Wood Worth: £105m Source of wealth: Greetings card and property.
Stephen Haines Worth: £78m Source of wealth: Greetings cards and gifts.
Simon Elvin and Family Worth: £47m Source of wealth: Greetings cards.
Duncan Spence Worth: £40m Source of wealth: Greetings cards.
Anders Hedlund Worth: £40m Source of wealth: Greetings card and novelty
items.
Now that is a total of 7 families or individuals with a combined worth of
£669 Million Pounds, so it is easy to see that these people have enjoyed
a huge amount of goodwill which is generated by our own goodwill to one another.
With this kind of money swimming around in the greeting card industry, we
are sure you'll agree that there is room for the general public to get their
hands on some of this money that they themselves are generating.
We at the Prize Draw Greetings venture are running a business, yes, but it
is also a campaign to see how much money we can extract from the greeting
card industry and return to the public in the form of prizes in a monthly
free prize draw. We are looking to extend the goodwill in an industry which
has been built on goodwill.
Remember, we the British public are already sending cards to one another, so why not send Prize Draw Greetings and help to bring this change about. Our cards will be
within the price range of many ordinary greetings cards, so there won't be
any extra expense involved to purchase our cards.
We give you an absolute assurance not to use your name and address details
for any other purpose other than to administer the Prize Draw Greetings system,
and we will also not ask you for any extra personal information for any other
purpose. The only thing you need to do to enter our free prize draw is enter
your name and address on one of our reply post card entries, this is no more
information than would be on a piece of mail arriving at your house.
At the end of each 12 month period we will publish the amount of prizes our
monthly free prize draws have given out and we will describe where those funds
within the industry have been extracted from. Remember, this venture will
only survive and thrive through your support and you will be able to judge
for yourselves our progress year on year.
Now that we are starting out, our cards will be produced in only a limited
range, but later on when we have been able to convince other greeting card
publishers that our concept is worthy and supported by the British people,
we are hoping that other greeting card publishers will want to produce some
of their own greeting card ranges in the Prize Draw Greetings format.
And it maybe that some people will send our cards as an extra card along with
a traditional ordinary greeting card which conveys some sentiment. Either
way, we are sure our product will be good for the greeting card industry as
a whole and at this time we are producing all our greeting cards within this
United Kingdom.
We will shortly be contacting registered charities to make sure our card ranges
can be bought at seasonal times in aid of chosen charities just like many
ordinary greeting cards can be, and as soon as we have this organised we will
post details on this website and hopefully create a separate website to deal
with that service.
We ask you to choose Prize Draw Greetings and make this venture a success
and we believe in these uncertain economic times it is no more than the British
public deserve.
Our mission is to see if we can take part of a business which is already thriving
in this kingdom and turn it into something new which will benefit many more
people rather than just a select few.
Come and join us in "The Greeting Card Revolution". GOOD LUCK IN THE PRIZE
DRAWS.
